High nutrient content | Turn leftovers from the kitchen into high-quality insect protein
With this mealworm breeding starter colony, you can easily start breeding . Let the larvae pupate and then place them on the hatching ramp of your mealworm farm. After a few days, mealworm beetles hatch from them and then make their way to the prepared substrate in the beetle tray. The insects begin to reproduce and lay their eggs. After one to two weeks, the next generation of larvae hatches.
This breeding starter colony contains around 2000-2500 mealworms (approx. 300g). You can house up to 4000 beetles in a mealworm farm. This means you can start with several starter colonies to build up your beetle colony even faster. Each female beetle lays several hundred new eggs after mating.
variants
You have the option of ordering your mealworms including a starter guide - a compact guide for breeding them yourself - or without a starter guide . The version with the starter guide also includes a breeding calendar, which you can use to keep track of the generations during breeding.
