Aquaponics

Homegrown fish & vegetables | Conserve resources | Protect the climate

What is aquaponics?

Aquaponics is an extremely fascinating cycle that produces both fish and vegetables . Within an aquaponics system, the nutrient-rich fish water circulates through plant beds and causes the vegetables to grow there. The bacteria and microorganisms that live in it purify the water and then flow back into the fish tank. You have the opportunity to observe a unique natural spectacle and benefit from your own food at the same time.

Seasonal or year-round?

In principle, aquaponics is suitable for both seasonal outdoor operation and year-round indoor operation. In order to save heating costs and energy , seasonal operation over the gardening season is feasible and makes sense.
