The BSFL Farm from OFERA allows you to raise soldier fly larvae with efficient, vertical space utilization and unlimited expansion options . The BSFL Farm is designed to be modular.
How does OFERA’s BSFL Farm work?

Depending on the conditions, an output of around 2kg/month can be expected per module. This way you can put together your own farm to suit your needs.
For further breeding and to close the larval cycle, we recommend our separately available Black Soldier Fly - BSF - Love Cage, fly cage . In it, some of your unfed larvae hatch back into flies, which then mate again and produce fresh larval eggs and young larvae .
After laying the fly eggs in the fly cage , simply put them back into the rearing containers and then feed the newly hatched young larvae with plenty of vegetable and food scraps. The larvae then grow to the adult stage and climb up the harvest ramp on their own , so that you can then simply remove them from the collecting tray in the pre-pupa stage and feed them .
Our patented container design with harvesting ramp and collecting container enables automated harvesting of larvae ready for feeding. The rearing unit and the collecting container are surrounded by a stacking aid protected by a grid to prevent the entry of predators such as mice, birds or other animals .
