This sieve makes it easier for you to separate your mealworms that are ready for harvest from the substrate and the rest of the colony. The mesh size is chosen so that larvae of harvest size are practically caught and can then be easily removed. The shredded substrate and the younger larvae fall through the mesh and remain in the larva tray to continue growing.
