Powerful aquaponics system for self-construction | Up to 750kg of fish/year | Practical construction plan & component bundle from a single source - Save time, transport and shipping costs in procurement

The 3 IBC high-performance system is a very powerful aquaponics system for private use developed by our partner AndersFarm. However, there are several customers who also use this system for commercial purposes.

Here you will receive the assembly instructions as well as a parts and components set that is essential for building and operating the system. If you have already purchased and licensed the assembly instructions through AndersFarm, you only need to select the kit with the parts and components . If you do not yet have the assembly instructions, you can order them directly in the set here.

What is included?

Included are - depending on your selection - assembly instructions including all parts and components with the exception of a few larger, bulky but easy to obtain parts, which are listed below. In addition to the material required for piping, screw connections, connecting parts, connectors, glue, filter medium, filter mats, the appropriate pumps and air lifts, everything you need to build and initially operate the system is included.

What do you need to get locally?

In addition to the appropriate tools, you will also need to organize the following components and materials on site. There are many sources and the items are very simple and easy to obtain from hardware stores.

Components and materials to be purchased for the aquaculture part:

  1. 3 pcs. IBC containers, same design with drain connections 60mm (S60X6 DN50) or 75mm (S75x6 DN50) Available in agricultural specialist stores or industrial specialist retailers. Often also available second-hand. Please make sure that no toxic materials or substances have been stored in them before.
  2. approx. 3 x 40kg bags of concrete screed
  3. approx. 2m2 screed mat , steel mesh mat as reinforcement

Space requirement

The system in the described setup requires about 25m2 of space . If you set up the system as described in the assembly instructions, you will need an area of about 8m (length) x 3m (width) . The aquaculture part is limited to about 3.5m (length) x 1.5m (width) of space. You can expand or reduce the hydroponics system according to your needs.

Variants & Options:

Building instructions & construction plan

If you have already purchased and licensed the assembly instructions through AndersFarm, you can deselect them and the price will only be reduced to the parts and components. If you do not yet have assembly instructions, it is best to buy them in the set as they are essential for setting up and operating the system.

Parts & Components

You can decide whether you need the material for the complete system (aquaculture + hydroponics) or whether you want to start with aquaculture separately and then add hydroponics later. However, we recommend that you start planning and building the complete system right away.

IBC drain connection size

Once you have a source for the IBC containers, you must tell us when ordering which connection size, 60mm (S60X6 DN50) or 75mm (S75x6 DN50) your IBCs have, so that we integrate the right connection parts in the set.
